Here’s a tip with Council tax bills arriving…. you can opt to pay in 12 monthly instalments rather than the current 10.

It spreads the cost more evenly over the year, and it’s simple to do — but MUST be done by 8 April to qualify.

Just call Teignbridge Council on 01626 215000 or email them at revandbens@teignbridge.gov.uk

You need to quote your council tax reference number (which is on the bill) and simply ask to pay over 12 months.

All councils should now be offering this because the Government has changed the rules.

However, Teignbridge is not exactly trumpeting the change… they’ve tucked this away in small print on the back of the bill!
