Exminster will grow by 127% official figures published today by Teignbridge Council confirm.

There are 1,579 houses in the parish now, and with at least 2,000 more planned under the Conservative council’s Local Plan proposals, Exminster will grow to nearly 3,600 houses.

Teignbridge confirmed the planned increase is 127%.

That’s much bigger than any other community in the district  – Newton Abbot will grow by 39% and Dawlish by 22%.

I asked the council to publish the planned housing numbers and increases for each parish because so many people are concerned about the proposals and the impact it will have on Exminster.

At least now we have revealed just how much new housing the Conservatives plan for Exminster, compared to what is already there.
